educational service, delivered via the world wide web,
by Omni Science Services Ltd. The service does not include any provision
for Internet access, software or equipment. All individual
subscribers to Virtualbiologytutor.co.uk must make their own arrangements
to connect to the Internet.
2.
The person identified in the
subscription process, unless informed otherwise in writing by us, is
assumed to be responsible for the sole use made of the
supplied username and password.
3.
Subscriptions for the service, which
are licensed to the named individual subscriber, entitle access to the
specified biology unit(s)/modules of the site, which is for the named
individual subscriber only, and must not be used to enable
access to site by anyone other than the named individual subscriber.
Any subscriber(s) violating our terms & conditions will be liable for
legal action by Omni Science Services Ltd.
4.
Important Notice: the service offered
by virtualbiologytutor.co.uk is not a replacement for the
biology course the subscriber has enrolled onto elsewhere (e.g. at a
college). All subscribers should attend an enrolled course(s) elsewhere.
5.
Neither the service, nor material from
it, may be re-sold, or reproduced for the use of anyone other than the
named individual subscriber. None of the material contained in our site is
to be copied, reproduced, distributed, republished, downloaded, displayed,
posted or transmitted in any form without Virtualbiologytutor.co.uk giving
prior written permission.
6.
The service offered by
virtualbiologytutor.co.uk is for individual subscriber only. No
institution/organisation is allowed to subscribe to our site
without our permission.
7.
We will do our utmost to ensure our
service is to its highest standards. In the event of server failure, we
will endeavour to repair problems as quickly as possible.
8.
Force majeure :
Omni Science Services Ltd cannot accept liability for any failure of the
service resulting from a matter beyond its reasonable control such as
lightning, flood, exceptionally severe weather, fire, explosion, war, civil
disorder, industrial disputes (whether or not involving its employees), or
acts of local or central Government or other competent authorities, or
events beyond the reasonable control of its suppliers.
9.
Every effort is made to ensure material
provided on our site is accurate, however, we cannot be held liable for
problems caused by any errors, or the content of linked sites. User must
ensure a comprehensive biology textbook is consulted alongside the material
in this site.
10.
Omni Science Services Ltd reserves the
right to change/amend and develop the service in line with feedback from
subscribers, and our own development / expansion plans.
11.
We reserve the right to terminate any
subscription if :
a.
we
have reason to believe it is being abused (as stated in section 3 above).
b.
in our
opinion continuing, it would endanger the service as a whole.
c.
if
payment for services supplied is not received .
12.
The single payment per Unit is non-refundable
and entitles the subscriber for 1 academic year’s usage of our site
(September to June the following year).
13.
Omni Science Services Ltd reserves the
right to amend these terms & conditions as necessary. An up to date
copy of said terms and conditions will be available on our website.
